The 40 Mile Point Lighthouse Society is pleased to announce
Singer / Songwriter Dan Hall will join us this year for our Annual
Open House Celebration on Sunday, May, 25th. Two shows will be performed - 11 am to noon and 1:30 to 2:20.
Come out to the Lighthouse, for a fun filled event. Bring your
folding chairs, listen to the maritime music of Dan Hall and enjoy!
He has a folk art approach to his music that speaks to our Nautical History. He sings of Lighthouses, storms and the great ships that once sailed our lakes... sailors lost, as many never returned and the lore that has become our history.
Dan also has a series of songs written with the younger set in mind. These are fun and and light-hearted and just make you smile. There is even a song about the "40 Mile Point Lighthouse" ... imagine that! “Music is my joy and passion. I love writing songs and I love singing them".
You are invited to 40 Mile Point Lighthouse this Memorial Day Week-end for our 10th annual " Afternoon of Arts & Craft Show" celebration, Saturday & Sunday, May 24th & 25th 10am - 4pm, featuring maritime singer / songwriter Dan Hall in concert on Sunday.
Enjoy the work of many talented Artists, Musicians and Crafts people from all over Michigan in a great family setting, offering visitors a chance to step back in time. You may climb the Lighthouse tower, tour the Museum, the 1912 Calcite pilothouse or visit the shipwreck on the beach.
If you're looking for a place to sit and relax, we have that... with a view!
This Memorial Day week-end event has it all and admission is free..
