DESCRIPTION:The Fort Michilimackinac Pageant Committee along with the re-enactors would like to cordially invite you to celebrate with us on our 51th Anniversary  performance of the Re-enactment at Fort Michilimackinac during Saturday\, Sunday\, and Monday of Memorial Day weekend 2013.  This 51th Special Celebration will honor  our performance founders in this unique performance of the area&rsquo\;s rich history is the longest running FREE attraction in the State of Michigan.\n\n\nSee floats\, bands\, re-enactors\, clowns\, etc. at Northern Michigan's Grand Parade on Saturday afternoon\, May 25th.\n\n\nAttend the Re-enactment and the preceding period of fur traders on any of the three afternoons during Memorial Weekend.\n\n\nEnjoy the pageantry and living history re-created from actual events that occurred from 1715 to 1763\, including the Indians' baggataway game on that fateful June 2nd\, 1763.\n\n\nBe a spectator at the muzzleloader events held throughout the weekend at the Fort\, Downtown and at the High School..\n\nThen honor all our departed friends and relatives at the Memorial Day Service on Monday\, May 27th at Memorial Park near the Municipal Marina.\n\nThis 51th special presentation takes place on the grounds of the original Fort Michilimackinac\, now known as Colonial Michilimackinac\," which is operated by the Mackinac State Historic Parks.\n\nThe large cast is comprised of more than a fourth of the entire population of the Village of Mackinaw City (population approx. 800) plus another 200 "re-enactors" who come from other areas of Michigan and several neighboring states to participate in this colorful event.\n\nThe "Michilimackinac Voyageurs" who participate in a variety of roles: voyageur\, trader\, trapper and Native American to name a few.
