DESCRIPTION:The Mackinac Bridge Swim is about giving back to the community\, supporting each other\, and paying it forward. We are raising money through this event to help First Responders here in Michigan.  We will be supporting Mackinaw City and St. Ignace Volunteer fire departments this year in addition to the Coast Guard.  We are also going to find a family of a first responder that is in need of some assistance. \n In 2023 we raised $26\,000 with only 106 swimmers. 2024 is looking to be another awesome year as so many swimmers have stepped forward to pledge to raise more. Fundraising is not required\, but I\, along with my volunteers take it seriously. We do not get paid for putting this event on\, so we consider what we donate as pay :) We are gearing up for 200 swimmers in 2024.
