DESCRIPTION:The Divine Comedy Re-Envisioned\nOn display January 23 &ndash\; July 18\, 2026\, in the Wilson Gallery\nThis exhibit explores foundational cultural influencers&mdash\;Homer (8th century BCE)\, Virgil (1st century CE)\, and Dante (13th century CE)&mdash\;and features 40 Salvador Dal&iacute\; woodblock prints illustrating scenes from Dante&rsquo\;s The Divine Comedy.\nTo deepen visitors&rsquo\; engagement with The Divine Comedy\, the museum has scheduled a series of educational presentations led by regional experts\, scholars\, and artists.\nSpecial Presentation Series Schedule\nThe Hero&rsquo\;s Journey &ndash\; Thursday\, February 5 at 6 PM\nPresented by Dr. Priscilla Homola\, longtime English instructor and expert in mythology.\nDali &amp\; Freud: Inquiry Into Art &amp\; Dreams &ndash\; Part 1 on Thursday\, February 26 at 6PM\nPresented by Dr. Kelly Bush&eacute\;y\, psychologist\, speaker\, and educator.\nSurrealist Poetry Reading &amp\; Discussion &ndash\; Thursday\, March 5 at 6 PM\nLed by Alpena Community College art instructor and multidisciplinary artist Brian Schorn.\nDali &amp\; Freud: Art &amp\; Psychology &ndash\; Part 2 on Thursday\, March 26 at 6PM\nPresented by Dr. Kelly Bush&eacute\;y\, psychologist\, speaker\, and educator.\nBlock Printing Workshop &ndash\; Thursday\, April 2 at 6PM\nLocal artist Poppy Cornelius will teach participants how to carve\, ink\, and print using rubber blocks. The workshop is $35 per person and open to ages 15 and older. All supplies will be provided.
