Travel south of Onaway on M-33 for 10 miles. At the intersection of M-33 and Tomahawk Lake Highway, turn left (east) onto Tomahawk Lake Hwy and drive for 0.9 miles. Next, turn right (south) onto Dam Road. The road ends after 0.8 miles at the boat launch for Tomahawk Lake.
There is a seasonal state forest campground here. The launch and surrounding area provides good vistas over the flooding, where Common Loon, Osprey, and Bald Eagles nest.
