Michael Wassegijig Price, Native American author, presenter, and professor at Bemidji State University in Minnesota, will also give a Dark Sky presentation “Annishinaabe Star Knowledge: Indigenous Astronomy” on the shores of Lake Huron at Negwegon State Park Saturday evening starting at 7:00 PM. Please note a DNR Recreational Passports is required for park entry. ($11.00)

Michael has presented to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian’s symposium entitled, “Stellar Connections: Explorations in Cultural Astronomy.” He has also been teaching a class called Indigenous Astronomy at Bemidji State University in MN since 2007.   http://www.michaelwassegijig.com/

Besser Museum Planetarium Director, John Heath will bring telescopes to the Dark Sky event for public use.
