The Mackinaw Area Public Library will host a special presentation with scholars and Native American tradition bearers. Guest speakers Jim Miller (Willow Winds) Jeremy Stoppa, David Hahja, and Renee Powers will present on the significance of water.  The importance of building and navigating birch bark canoes and Native American water rituals will be among the topics explored during the presentation.

The Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan is providing a Native American traveling exhibit for display at the Mackinaw Area Public Library. The exhibit consists of artifacts, three exhibit panels, and a video presentation with regional Native Americans sharing insights into their culture past and present.
