The 40 Mile Point Lighthouse Society is pleased to announce...
Maritime Singer - Russ Franzen will be joining us this year for our Open House celebration featuring his maritime songs of the Great Lakes.
Russ Franzen, is an acoustic storyteller and the stories he tells are original songs about lighthouses, lake boats, shipwrecks, and life along the Great Lakes. Many of his songs were inspired by stories he heard while living in Alpena.
This event will be held on the grounds of 40 Mile Point Lighthouse in Presque Isle County’s Lighthouse Park US 23 just 7 miles North of Rogers City.
So come out to the Lighthouse, for a fun filled event. Bring your folding chairs, sit a spell and enjoy!
You are also invited for our annual Open House and Arts
& Craft Show, both Saturday and Sunday, - 10am - 4pm
You'll find many talented Artists, Musicians and Crafts people from all over Michigan, in a great family setting, offering visitors a chance to step back in time.
You may climb the lighthouse tower, tour the museum, or visit the shipwreck on the beach. If you're looking for a place to just sit and relax, we have that... with a view!
This Memorial Day week-end event has it all and admission is free!
