Friday, December 6th
Parade - This is a go regardless of weather.
4:45 PM, the annual tree lighting procession line up at the Marina parking lot.
5:00 PM
The parade of caroler wagons, walkers, decorated vehicles and City Trucks will honk and sing to the community Christmas tree at Indian Pathways Park. Santa has candy canes for all. Parade will go north on Huron to Central Ave, west on Central Ave to Nicolet Street and Indian Pathways Park. Sound provided by G-man Productions.
Come be a part of the “Tacky Tinsel Town Car Parade” keep warm and follow the carolers! (Just decorate your car for the holidays & win a really “Tacky Prize”.) Categories include Grand Tacky, Ha Ha Ho Ho, Tinsel Tune or Tinsel Town and Northern Lights awards.
5:15 PM, Schedule at Indian Pathways Park: Community blessing, the Village leads in the count down, Santa’s magic to light the tree, an old fashion carols sing and Tacky Parade Awards Presentation.
5:40 PM, all are invited to proceed to Mackinaw Outfitters in the Mackinaw Crossings Mall for crafts, hot cocoa and cookies with Santa Claus. Santa will hand out a special gift to the children donated by the Lions Club of Mackinaw City.
Saturday, December 7
10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Shop and dine all around Mackinaw City!
McGulpin Point Lighthouse will be open and decorated to celebrate the holiday season during a special weekend in early December. The lighthouse will be open Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 7-8, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Refreshments will be available and horse-drawn sleigh rides at the nearby Headlands International Dark Sky Park will be offered if the weather allows.

The lighthouse is open daily mid-May through the end of October each year. There is no charge to enter the lighthouse or to climb the tower.
