South Shore Park

A half-mile of Lake Huron shoreline provides swimming, beachcombing, and kayak launching. Four softball and Little League diamonds are open for public use. A children's playscape and picnic area make this park popular with families. Young and old alike can enjoy the Fossil Park: the Rogers City area has fossils dating back to the Devonian Period. Over 359 million years ago, this was once a shallow inland sea. Enjoy digging and fill your pockets with fossils!
