The Divine Comedy Re-Envisioned
On display January 23 – July 18, 2026, in the Wilson Gallery
This exhibit explores foundational cultural influencers—Homer (8th century BCE), Virgil (1st century CE), and Dante (13th century CE)—and features 40 Salvador Dalí woodblock prints illustrating scenes from Dante’s The Divine Comedy.

To deepen visitors’ engagement with The Divine Comedy, the museum has scheduled a series of educational presentations led by regional experts, scholars, and artists.

Special Presentation Series Schedule
The Hero’s Journey – Thursday, February 5 at 6 PM
Presented by Dr. Priscilla Homola, longtime English instructor and expert in mythology.

Dali & Freud: Inquiry Into Art & Dreams – Part 1 on Thursday, February 26 at 6PM
Presented by Dr. Kelly Bushéy, psychologist, speaker, and educator.

Surrealist Poetry Reading & Discussion – Thursday, March 5 at 6 PM
Led by Alpena Community College art instructor and multidisciplinary artist Brian Schorn.

Dali & Freud: Art & Psychology – Part 2 on Thursday, March 26 at 6PM
Presented by Dr. Kelly Bushéy, psychologist, speaker, and educator.

Block Printing Workshop – Thursday, April 2 at 6PM
Local artist Poppy Cornelius will teach participants how to carve, ink, and print using rubber blocks. The workshop is $35 per person and open to ages 15 and older. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required.

Dali & Freud: Artist Meets Hero – Part 3 on Thursday, April 23 at 6PM
Presented by Dr. Kelly Bushéy, psychologist, speaker, and educator.
