The Besser Museum presents "Season of Light:True Spirit of Christmas” November through January.The exhibit features: Twas the Night Before Christmas Pop-up panels created by local artist Delynn Medina; Gifted and Talented Gallery featuring the talents of local artisans; Community Trees featuring Trees decorated by Local Service Organizations including Traditions from Around the World "Step back in time" Christmas Decorations in the late 1800's. Come and experience the true spirit of Christmas in Alpena!
December 6 - 8
The festivities begin on Friday with a parade of carolers and decorated vehicles. Enter your car in the "Tacky Tinsel Town Car Parade" and follow the carolers! The parade ends at Indian Pathways Park with a tree lighting and more caroling. Meet Santa at Mackinaw Crossings for hot cocoa and cookies! Stop by McGulpin Point Lighthouse on Saturday or Sunday and take a horse-drawn sleigh ride at the Headlands International Dark Sky Park!
