Maritime Singers - Russ Franzen & Dan Hall will join us again this year for our Open House celebration with Maritime Songs of the Great Lakes.
Russ Franzen, is an acoustic storyteller and the stories he tells are original songs about lighthouses, lake boats, shipwrecks, and life along the Great Lakes. Many of his songs were inspired by stories he heard while living in Alpena.
Dan Hall will preform with a folk art approach to his music that speaks to our Nautical History. He sings of Lighthouses, storms and the great ships that once sailed our lakes.
Dan also has a series of songs written with the younger set in mind. These are fun and lighthearted and just make you smile. There is even a song about the "40 Mile Point Lighthouse" ... imagine that!
This event will be held on the grounds of 40 Mile Point Lighthouse in Presque Isle County’s Lighthouse Park
US 23 - just 7 miles North of Rogers City.
So come out to the Lighthouse, for a fun filled event. Bring your
folding chairs, as music fills the air, sit a spell and enjoy!
