The night sky
See the beautiful stars at Negwegon!

Dragons, Lions, and Bears!  Creatures of the night sky and their tails!  Join Mary Stewart Adams from the Headlands Dark Sky Park, a star lore historian-storyteller, Thaddeus LaCoursiere and John Heath, educators, Besser Planetarium for an evening of history, stories, and science of the stars!  Visitors are asked to bring a blanket, chairs, and flashlights with red tape or red bandannas on them.  Prior to the evening visit the Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan Digital Dome Planetarium Theater before Negwegon’s Dark Sky event.  Planetarium show times are 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Tickets: $5.00 per person.  There will be no cost for the event in the evening at Negwegon but a Recreation Passport is required.  These can be purchased on site the evening of the event through self registration.

NOTE! Take US 23 to Black River Road to Sand Hill Trail (do not use the Google driving directions at this location due to a road closure).

Visitors are asked to meet at the parking lot of Negwegon State Park off of Sand Hill Trail.
