Surf’s Up in the Sanctuary is a one-day surfing and paddling art exhibit featuring surfing artists from all over the Great Lakes, and the latest paddling films from all over the world! Come to the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center to see photographs, sculptures, and films; there will also be opportunities to meet the artists and filmmakers!
Surf’s Up in the Sanctuary is made possible through partnerships with the Paddling Film Festival, Alpena County Library, Art in the Loft, Thunder Bay Arts Council, the Besser Museum, and the Northeast Michigan Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative.
