Chili Chowder Cook-off | 12 - 2 pm | Second Ave.
Sample the area's best chilis and chowders at downtown's annual cook-off! Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door. Check-in and ticket set up will be at the intersection of Chisholm St. and Second Ave. Grab a drink from the Social District and see who will take home Best in Show ($250 cash prize), Best Chili and Best Chowder ($200), Most Creative Recipe ($100) and Most Spirited Team ($100).
Kids Activities | 12 - 3 pm | Culligan Plaza & Center Alley
Bring the family downtown for a variety of kids' activities hosted by Thunder Bay Arts! Activities include:
Pumpkin painting and pumpkin bowling
Cookie decorating with Annette Carlson of Save Your Fork
Build your own mini sailboat and sail in the Culligan Plaza fountain
Horse drawn wagon rides
Oktoberfest & Anniversary Party | 12 pm - 11 pm | Black Sheep Pub
The Black Sheep Pub, located at 113 S. Second Ave., is celebrating its 13th anniversary! From 12 pm- close, stop by their pub and enjoy live music, new Oktoberfest releases on draft, drink specials, and more.
Sunrise Suds Tap Takeover | 4 pm - 10 pm | Second Ave.
Sample Michigan's best brews at the Fresh Palate's annual Sunrise Suds Tap Takeover! Second Avenue will be closed for live music and beer sampling. More info coming soon.
