Shallow, bedrock influenced bay within Thunder Bay

The bay is an excellent example of coastal marsh features. Bedrock influenced, the lake bottom gradually drops and creates extensive shallw areas conducive for wetland vegetation. The same conditions can be found along the south shore and no9rth shore of Thunder Bay.
