Home>Plan Your Trip>Shoepac Lake sinkhole
From the intersection of Tomahawk Creek Highway and Shoepac Road (which is the northward extension of Dam Road), head north for 1.0 mile. You will drive past Shoepac Lake, then watch for signs and the parking area for the sinkholes.
The mixed aspen / pine woods here has nesting Red-eyed Vireos, Least Flycatchers, and American Redstarts. Marked pathways surround the sinkhole, and makes for an interesting walk. For safety reasons, please do not attempt to climb down into the sinkhole!
