What is it about lighthouses that attract ghostly spirits? Maybe it’s simply a passion that will not go away. Lighthouse keepers were known to be extremely dedicated to their profession and it seems that many were never able to give it up — even after death. More than 30 lights in Michigan are rumored to be haunted...including Old Presque Isle Lighthouse (where the spirits of former lighthouse caregiver George Parris as well as Don S. Olds, a frequent visitor to the light in the 1930s).

This popular program is coming to the pages of “Michigan’s Haunted Lighthouses” — a book by Dianna Stampfler, available now from The History Press.

The presentation will be held at the North Bay Beach House, E Grand Lake Road (located on the west side of the road, just prior to the Presque Isle Harbor Marina). Afterward, you're invited to take a lantern / flashlight and explore the Old Presque Isle Lighthouse grounds starting at 7:30pm.

Following the presentation, a book sale / signing will be offered. The book is $20 cash or $21.19 credit charge. Or, order online now: https://promotemichigan.com/haunted-lighthouses-book.
